Weeks  6-7.

Learning purpose

By the end of this unit you will have a better understanding of some topics related to Cultures. All these issues will be studied by applying different strategies and skills in the   communicative competencies –reading, listening, writing, and speaking-. In addition, you will be fostering your thinking skills when solving case studies or making decisions as well as your collaborative and team work.

Specific competencies

By the end of this unit, you will:

• Read about how an international company works to ease cultural misunderstanding between its staff from different countries.
• Look at, listen to and practice the language of social interaction.
• Look at some advertising – related vocabulary and use it in context.
• Work on some economic languages relating to international markets.
